Winner: The Developmental Education Council: Bridging Acceleration Initiatives
Formed in 2009, The BCC Developmental Education Council seeks to bridge the English Basic Skills and the Developmental Math programs. Through join efforts and additional help from a Title V grant, a number of acceleration initiatives have been developed that are having a marked impact on the retention and success of students in developmental classes. These include the Math Hub and the redesign of the EBS curriculum.
