OFFICIAL COLLEGE STATEMENTS
March 6, 2020 – Update 3
As COVID-19 has the potential to disrupt international travel during the College’s spring break (March 9-14) the institution encourages students, faculty and staff to monitor travel advisories before any planned travel departure. If you do travel abroad during spring break, please notify the Office of Health Services at (201) 447-9257 prior to your return to campus.
Please note, international travel officials have advised that – depending on your destination- you may need to make the difficult decision to change – or even cancel plans – to ensure your own well-being and timely return to campus. Depending on COVID-19’s progression, many countries may establish new entry/exit control measures and even quarantines with very little notice. Thus, and before you travel, please review guidance from the U.S. Department of State on your destination and countries you may travel through to reach your destination.
Should you travel to or through any of the impacted countries listed as “Warning Level 3, Avoid Nonessential Travel,” you will not be permitted to return to campus or off-site location until you complete the self-isolation period (currently 14 days) and a follow-up medical screening through the Office of Health Services. Impacted countries may change with little notice.
